Workshop – Future of ‘York Central’
February 3 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm| Free
WE SEEK YOUR VIEWS!
York Central is the large brownfield site to the west of the city’s railway station. It lies between the A19 and A59 road corridors, and is bounded by operational rail lines.
The area contains existing buildings which will be retained: the National Railway Museum, private housing and businesses. The rest of the site is largely underused, having historically been occupied by the rail industry. Relocation of the remaining rail site will allow new development to take place.
Members who are interested in the future use of the York Central area have an opportunity to participate in a consultation session, which will feed into the draft masterplan for the area. Consultants employed by the development consortium will be present to outline their emerging ideas.
We have a twin session, one on Friday afternoon 2 February and one on Saturday morning 3 February (you should only register for one of the sessions). Our previous workshops have made a meaningful and valued contribution to the continued dialogues and the shaping of proposals by and for the City. Come along and add your voice!
Both workshops will be held at the Priory Centre, 15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET
PLEASE NOTE: EVEN ALTHOUGH THIS IS A FREE EVENT THE REGISTERING PROCESS WILL ASK YOU TO COMPLETE YOUR ‘BILLING DETAILS’ (WITHOUT GIVING A CARD NUMBER)
