]]> Thank you one and all for making Civic Day 2019 such a great success.  And what a great success it was!

  • We recruited an astonishing 52 new members on the day, and no doubt there will be more postal applications in the weeks ahead.
  • We provided 14 free guided walks, taken up by over 260 participants.
  • We catered for 100s of York residents (and a few tourists)

More York residents are now aware of the Trust, who we are, and what we do.  Great publicity.  And let’s not forget the goodwill generated amongst volunteers and visitors alike.

]]> STREETS of York, last year’s book and exhibition about the changing face of York’s city streets, has raised almost £70,000 for local charities – York Against Cancer, York Minster and the York Civic Trust City Enhancement Fund.

The entire 1,500-copy print run of the book was sold out, and thousands of people also saw the exhibition. Every penny of profit made was shared between the three nominated charities…..read more.
