Support us: Lord Mayor’s Charities 2016-2017
York Civic Trust is delighted to be one of the four organisations in York chosen to benefit from the 2016-2017 Lord Mayor’s Charities. The Rt Hon Lord Mayor, Councillor Dave Taylor, is a longstanding member of the Trust. We are delighted to support all events which are part of this plan.
On Friday 28 April there is the annual Lord Mayor’s competition at Pike Hills Golf Club. Entry is £25 per person or £100 for a team of four. Tee-off times are from 8am to 2pm and it is a Stableford competition, with the best two scores to count on each hole. The entry fee includes golf, tea or coffee and a bacon buttie before you start! Bar facilities and catering will also be available throughout the day, with fundraising activities also taking place. If you would like to take part – and play for the unique opportunity to have your name engraved on the trophy, please indicate your preferred tee-time on the booking form or by return of email, and we will allocate on a first come first served basis. Bookings are now open.
On Friday 5 May you can come to Gurkha Curry night in the Guildhall. Only £20 per person for an amazing buffet of traditional Nepalese curries cooked by the chefs from 245 Squadron, hosted inside the historic Guildhall. Contact anne.platt@york.gov.uk to book. Hint: this sells out quickly!
