York Civic Trust, which is open to everyone who cares about the city, has some 1,200 members and 33 corporate members.
Our members support the Trust’s work, which includes preserving the city’s natural artistic and cultural amenities, promoting the highest standard of new building, protecting buildings of beauty and historic interest, and protecting the views to and from York and its neighbourhood.

You can help us in the next couple of months as we update the Trust website.  The new website will have more high-quality images, so we need help.  Have you photos from Trust events or talks?  Have you got images of ‘before and after’ on our projects?

You can also raise charity funds and have fun – see the Lord Mayor’s Charities page.
Our members and supporters are a pool of expertise and opinion on which to draw, and can help the Trust through projects and activities, for instance under our City Enhancement Fund.  We hope that these activities will help members to acquire a deeper appreciation of York and its architectural heritage.
Members and supporters also provide funds for the Trust’s work through their subscriptions and donations.
