Another CEF project completed!
Alaina Schmisseur has completed her works to the statue of Queen Victoria by hand, located in West Bank Park, Holgate. The Queen looks truly regal once more.

Great to see some of York’s statues getting some attention. I think, however, that Dr Schmisseur is a ‘conservator’ rather than a ‘conservationist’.
What a difference!
The next step, I feel, is to return this statue to the city centre where it originally stood instead of hidden in some bushes in the corner of a small suburban park.
