Seebohm was a major figure locally, nationally and internationally, chiefly through his work on poverty but also in other areas of social action and concern. The session will examine the context of Seebohm’s work in the early twentieth century and consider its importance and relevance in today’s world.

Information about booking will be found in the Festival programme expected to be published in early May. BOOK DIRECT from 8th May on www.yorkfestivalofideas.com for more information.

The event (which is free) will be held in the Ron Cooke Hub (The Lakehouse) on the University’s East Campus. The 66 and 66A buses stop near the Hub.
