The Railway Heritage Trust is 40 years old this year. It has awarded over 2000 grants worth more than £72 million to restore the best of the country’s railway heritage. During that time, it has awarded many grants to the buildings and structures of York’s railway heritage.
Tim Hedley-Jones, Director of the RHT, and a York resident, will talk about some of those projects and the challenges involved in restoring and re-purposing historic railway buildings.
