Plaque Unveiling to Mary Ann Craven

A plaque will be unveiled to Mary Ann Craven – Craven’s family confectionery at 1pm at Café Nero, Coppergate. Mary – famous for her French almonds and boiled sweets – became a successful businesswoman in a male orientated Victorian world.

York Museums Trust has arranged for a costumed confectioner Mary Ann Craven to unveil the plaque.
