We return to Darrell Buttery’s beautiful Regency home for a pre-Christmas gathering. As has now become our custom, the evening will begin with a talk from one of our members. On this occasion Roger Holmes CB, former Deputy Master (Chief Executive) of the Royal Mint, has agreed to share with us some of his experiences working at an organisation which touches all of us but which remains largely shrouded in mystery. Roger’s talk will be illustrated with artefacts and photographs but free samples will, unfortunately, not be available!
There will also be ample opportunity to catch up with friends old and new and to visit the ever-popular antiques stall for some unusual Christmas shopping. Festive drinks and nibbles will also be served.
