Department of Theatre, Film & Television

This department has grown rapidly since the Trust’s first visit in 2011. Housed in £24M state-of-the-art building (designed by BDP) on the Heslington East campus, it comprises two theatres, a film theatre, television studios, rehearsal rooms, staff offices and a host of other facilities. After an introduction by the head of department, Professor Duncan Petrie, there will be a guided tour together with the opportunity to see some student films in the Holbeck cinema and a display of hands-on interactive media installations created by staff and students connected with the  Department’s newest degree programme.

Parking is available on the adjacent Catalyst building carpark and the number 66 and 66A buses stop close to the building.
