In 2018, Explore York Libraries and Archives successfully applied for funding from the Archives Revealed programme to catalogue and make available the vast collection of 19th and 20th century City Architects’ and Engineers’ plans of York.
The collection includes thousands of drawings which cover all aspects of York’s built environment including: buildings, bridges, sewers, parks, civic property, transport and street improvements.
Come along to meet first-hand the project archivist and to see a selection of some of these beautiful drawings.
Meet at the former Tang Hall Library on Fifth Avenue, YO31 OPR (directly opposite the Tang Hall clinic).
