Our Place Acomb and Westfield Community Grants Scheme
Grants of between £250 and £3,000 are available to support community-led projects that celebrate, protect and enhance the heritage and semi-natural environment of Acomb and Westfield.
The scheme is part of Our Place: Acomb and Westfield, a York Civic Trust project made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery players.
Applications open: 9am on Wednesday 7 October 2026
Applications close: 12 noon on Friday 6 November 2026
Applicants notified: By Friday 27 November 2026
Projects must be completed by: 31 January 2028
What can the grants support?
We welcome proposals that:
- Conserve or enhance local heritage assets.
- Protect or improve natural habitats, public woodland and community green spaces.
- Help people learn about and appreciate the heritage, landscapes and history of Acomb and Westfield.
- Share aspects of the area’s diverse heritage that are currently under-represented.
- Bring local people and organisations together.
- Create a clear and lasting benefit for the wider community.
