York Civic Trust in conjunction with the Upper Poppleton Parish Council repaired and repainted this historic pump on Station Road. The pump dates from c.1893-1907 and has remained an important feature within the village ever since. It is one of four historic pumps in Upper Poppleton.
Conservation work was undertaken by Ken Falkingham as part of the YCT City Enhancement Programme.
