Visitor Experience Assistant

York Civic Trust is looking to recruit someone who is a people person. A person who thrives at providing excellent customer service and will excel at welcoming people to Fairfax House. A person who is excited by the opportunities that heritage, museums and culture offer to improve the places we live. Working in a friendly and supportive team an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Visitor Experience Assistant located at Fairfax House in York. The role forms part of the Front of House team working on the front desk of the museum and within a small museum shop. 

 Working for a membership organisation, based in a Georgian historic house and collaborating on the future development of the city of York, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference.  

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, have excellent verbal and written communication and literacy skills and will be confident using a variety of digital systems.  

20 hours per week spread over three working days standard working hours 10:00 – 16:30 

£9.90 per hour
