Elvington is one of the outlying villages of the Greater York area. Teetering on the edge of East Yorkshire it is only separated from it by the River Derwent. It is the River which caused its origins and has defined its shape and continued to influence it over the centuries. A walking tour of the centre of the village finishing with supper and wine at Bridge House.
